Bicycle Friendly Businesses Program Helps Local Restaurants and Shops

After a challenging year, the Los Angeles County Bike Coalition responded to the health and economic crises of 2020 by offering new programs that address the essential needs of the community during COVID-19.

McGregor Shott designed the looks for these campaigns, one of which supports businesses impacted by the pandemic by helping bicyclists to leverage their purchasing power at locally owned restaurants and shops. Titled “Bikes Mean Business,” the program was implemented in social media and participating stores which drew hundreds of cyclists to each event. Reflected in the logo, the program further showed businesses that bike lanes mean increased sales, as such locations are easier to access.
